Sonja completed her studies of philosophy and empirical pedagogy at the Technical University of Braunschweig in 2000 with a doctorate in philosophy. In her PhD thesis, she investigated the effectiveness of a self-developed e-learning tool for behavioral change.

Between 2000 and 2009, she worked as a divisional, site and regional manager in various service companies. Since 2009, Sonja has been accompanying companies and executives in organizational realignment and restructuring as an external consultant. Her clients included well-known companies from telecommunications, the insurance class and the consumer goods industry. She serves a broad portfolio of topics as a "wingman" for CHRO, CEO and CTRO - from concept development to project management and training to monitoring. Her assignments always focus on topics between change and performance optimization.
